Canterbury-born
Lee Glendon is a telecoms/IT-industry marketing
professional with 15 years experience working
in the UK and overseas. Lee moved back to Canterbury
last May from Berkshire, where he had previously
campaigned on a number of local issues including
taking a pensioners’ petition to Downing
Street, fighting for local business in a regeneration
project and supporting a local special needs
school against closure. Being a member of a
district fencing club, Lee’s particularly
keen to see more support for local voluntary
groups that provide activities for young and
elderly members of our community.

Paula
Vickers moved into the Barton Ward ten years
ago. Her qualifications and working background
are in science and education, her specialist
fields being ecology and conservation. Environmental
issues, both global and local, are Paula’s
main interests. She recently spear-headed a
local action group and strongly believes that
local people should be instrumental in influencing
decisions that will directly affect residents.
A recent brush with property developers has
shown her that the voice of local people can
actually be heard, and be instrumental in radically
changing unsuitable proposals. She is opposed
to over-development which changes the character
of an area. |
Adam
Parsons is an enthusiastic and passionate
young campaigner with many years experience
helping
local residents with various problems. For
the past two years Adam has been working as
a sales advisor for a telecoms-company in Barton.
Adam is eager to become increasingly involved
in the community and has a great passion for
issues concerning the NHS as well as the education
sector, for which he has campaigned on for
many years and crime, which he believes is
a continually
increasing problem. |
